What To Expect - Referral Partners

Admissions Process

Navigating mental healthcare can be stressful for families, the admission process should not be. Our admission process is efficient and supportive.  A member of our admissions team will gather relevant information during an initial phone conversation. Necessary consents and documentation will be gathered on a schedule that does not delay treatment or create unnecessary stress.

Treatment Program

At The Nautilus Center we understand what you are going through and we know how to help. The frequency and duration of Intensive outpatient day (3 hours/day) and extended day (5 hours/day) treatment varies, depending on several factors, including your child’s needs and circumstances. We will work with you to determine the optimal treatment schedule for your teen. The average length of treatment at The Nautilus Center is 8-10 weeks. Our team works collaboratively and effectively with families, schools and referring therapists to establish and strengthen support systems that foster successful treatment outcomes.

Family Support

Evidence shows that effective treatment for adolescents with mental health and substance use disorders is amplified by family engagement. At The Nautilus Center we recognize the important role families play in the treatment process and provide the tools, and resources you need in a compassionate, respectful way without judgement, to support your child on their path to achieve long-term well being.

Daily Routine

Our space is both inviting and welcoming. Therapeutic areas are intentionally designed to resemble comfortable living spaces, rather than an impersonal medical clinic.  Teens can navigate the space with a balance of safety and independence. There is space for building community, individual and group therapy, movement and mindfulness activities, and therapeutic creative arts. Healthy snacks, beverages and a nutritious lunch for the extended day program are provided.

Our staff are licensed mental healthcare providers specializing in adolescent care. Treatment plans include a combination of individual therapy, group therapeutic skill building, and family support. Activities such as movement, mindfulness techniques, and therapeutic expressive art will be incorporated throughout the day. Teens can expect to feel engaged, safe and supported, and be treated with kindness and respect.

Insurance

The Nautilus Center is currently an out-of-network mental health provider. We are committed to expanding our payment and insurance options, however, as a new mental health provider, we are out-of-network until our contracts are established with major insurance companies. This means that if you do not have out-of-network coverage, you will need to be reimbursed by your insurance company. Because their rates vary, you will likely have a portion that is not covered by insurance. We are working hard to be in-network with your provider and make this process as seamless as possible. Please reach out with questions about your coverage or the cost of services, we are happy to help you understand what to expect. We can also provide a detailed superbill and documentation necessary to process reimbursement claims.
